Published prototypes
In the spring of 2010 the versions of two prototypes currently in the stage of development will be made public and accessible: the GeoVisor [version 0.2] and the Aeronautical Data Catalogue [version 0.1]. Their rationale and objectives are described next.
Aeronautical Data GeoVisor
ObjectivesThe GeoVisor constitutes the entrance of the graphic query to the Aeronautical Data and Geoservices Server developed, which has the purpose of allowing the different actors and users of geo aeronautical information to be able to access the official data of AIS Spain in real time with the assurance of being always updated. The development is based on the Web Mapping technology with which it is possible to obtain and manage geographic data through the Internet in Web thin clients. With them any user of the services provided will just need a computer and a Web browser allowing data access. All these services are based on OGC specifications, thus ensuring compatibility with the all the other systems sharing and accessing data.
Aeronautical Data Catalogue
ObjectivesThe Catalogue is conceived as a portal of information compilation which any user interested in aeronautical information may access to and get answers to questions arisen about aeronautical cartography in an expeditious and simple manner, learning immediately about the available products on the queried topic through key words. |
Through this catalogue and the technological platform behind it any national, Pan-European or international institution will be able to know the information provided by Aena, examine it and download it depending on the granted access level. In order to control access to data and metadata, the platform offers a robust system of users, roles and access management ensuring the privacy and restriction of the incorporated and referenced information.
